Upgradeable

We are releasing our third model today. Simply and always named "Pixii Camera". It is the 2023 model year and we won't go at length to explain its model type number. No, because Pixii is an always modern camera.

With this third model we keep our commitment to hardware upgradeability: All owners of the current model will be able to upgrade their camera to the latest hardware.

Pixii photographers can enjoy an always current camera, be it with software updates, a new remarkable sensor or today with our new processor.

Computational

We listened to your feedback. The new processor improves the most important aspects of the camera experience: speed and power efficiency.

More reactivity when shooting, more battery life on a single charge, more processing power for developing new images. As a French band would put it, Pixii is getting "Faster, Better, Stronger"!

Pixii is the first 64-bit camera. We think this is a significant upgrade. It combines the power of a smartphone-class processor with a high quality, large format sensor.

The new software advancements start with our exclusive RAW Monochrome. We can now extract finer details and better tonal transitions from the sensor.

We also use the new processing resources to render a real-time view, right on your smartphone. In either monochrome, or any of our LUT-based color profiles.

We are just getting started.

Inspirational

The pixel race is over. We are getting a head start on the new computing battle. But fear not, not to put a robot helmet on... Our goal is to help reveal your own vision. And that really takes human eyes, minds and hearts to be aligned.

So the new Pixii continues to feature a true optical rangefinder viewfinder. A pure manual focus mode. An external light meter to intuitively balance exposure speed and light. And we didn't yield to sirens chanting we should put a screen on its back. “No pixels shall screen you from the beauty of the real world!”

We will continue to focus on your creativity. We are grateful to many, many photographers who have shared their thoughts with us, helped us with new features. We are still amazed when seeing the images you are creating with Pixii.

We are working on a new production batch: cameras are now pre-allocated for a given shipment date. Our first series of cameras will ship by mid-December, then early January, etc.
